 PROJECT: WASTEWATER TREATMENT AND DISPOSAL THROUGH NATURAL WETLAND
 LOCATION: Ross River, Yukon
 OWNER: Yukon Territorial Government

 DESCRIPTION: Conceptual study of treatment and disposal options, including mechanical treatment plants, lagoon systems, subsurface ground disposal, and discharges to the Pelly River and to natural wetlands,
was completed. A predesign study was undertaken, including site investigation and assessment of the natural wetland for tertiary treatment capacity and disposal, and an environmental impact assessment. The community's design flow is 100 m3/d.

Anaerobic, facultative and long term storage lagoons with discharge of effluent to the natural wetland was the selected option. This has received a permit from the Yukon Territory Water Board.
