| PROJECT: MUNICIPAL WATER TREATMENT PLANT |
| LOCATION: Blueberry, B.C. |
| OWNER: Blueberry River Indian Band |
| DESCRIPTION: The poor raw water quality
of the wells supplying this community necessitated the installation
of a sophisticated 110 m3/d water treatment plant. It incorporates
an aeration tower for stripping natural gas and hydrogen sulphide.
It is followed by sand filtration for iron removal and softeners
to remove hardness, barium, and dissolved iron. Finally, reverse
osmosis removes sodium and hypochlorite is then added to remove
residual sulfide and to disinfect the water |
| ROLE: Prime consultant, pre-design, detail
design, equipment selection, commissioning, operations manual
and start-up. |
