 PROJECT: KENT / MOUNTAIN INSTITUTIONS SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT UPGRADING & START-UP ASSISTANCE

 DESCRIPTION: Upgrading and expansion of an extended aeration activated sludge treatment plant (oxidation ditch type) serving two federal penitentiaries to a capacity of 442 m3/d. Work included new communitor and bar screen, new secondary clarifier, new sludge pumps, ultrasonic flowmeter, blower, and conversion of existing tankage into an aerated sludge digester.
 ROLE: Process detail design, equipment specifications, shop drawing review, construction supervision assistance, commissioning and start-up assistance.
