PROJECT: TECHNOLOGY VERIFICATION OF WASTEWATER MARINE SANITATION DEVICE

LOCATION: Aboard the Enchantment of the Seas

OWNER: Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines

DESCRIPTION: Technical verification of the Hydroxyl Advanced Wastewater Treatment System was conducted aboard the Enchantment while cruising with full passenger load in the Caribbean . The evaluation consisted of five days of sampling and ten days of testing aboard the ship. The purpose of the test was to demonstrate compliance with U.S. Coast Guard 33 CFR 159.309 for BOD, TSS, pH, chlorine residual and fecal coliforms relating to discharge of effluent in Alaskan waters. All analytical equipment was supplied by NovaTec and transported aboard the ship for on board testing.

ROLE: Technology verification by US Coast Guard Certified Independent Laboratory for Unrestricted Discharge Authorization in Alaskan Waters.
