LOCATION: Aboard the Century

DESCRIPTION: Technical verification of the Hamworthy Advanced Wastewater Treatment System was conducted aboard the Century while cruising with full passenger load in the Mediterranean . The evaluation consisted of five days of sampling and ten days of testing aboard the ship. The purpose of the test was to demonstrate compliance with U.S. Coast Guard 33 CFR 159.309 for BOD, TSS, pH, chlorine residual and fecal coliforms relating to discharge of effluent in Alaskan waters.
