PROJECT: HAZARDOUS WASTE CHARACTERIZATION
 LOCATION: Northern Mexico
OWNER: Confidential
DESCRIPTION: The site investigation and characterization is expected to assist in assessing the validity of some of the claims. The first phase of the work plan allocates various types of investigation to different areas of the site. The areas to be addressed include hexachloride zone, first generation cells, and ferric chloride road spreading. The purpose of a roundwater investigation is to assess the presence of potential contaminants in site media and to provide coarse delineation in some areas as well as to characterize potential environmental impacts at the Site. In order to evaluate the both the extent of horizontal and vertical distribution of potential contaminants within the Hexachloride Zone, boreholes and test pits will be advanced to 3 metres. The groundwater investigation will gather data on the groundwater quality and flow of the shallowest water bearing zone at the Site. Depending on the results of the first phase, a second phase to further delineate and characterize the contamination may take place.
