| DESCRIPTION: Effluent from a
groundwood / BCTMP / paper machine mill with a flow of 85,000
m3/d and a BOD load of 20 t/d is treated by a five
cell activated sludge plant allowing parallel, series or mixed
flow modes. The treatment process also includes pH adjustment,
primary clarification, nutrient addition, two 1,750 HP single
stage centrifugal blowers for aeration, rotary screen sludge
thickeners, sludge screw presses and DCS control. |
