PROJECT: FISH PROCESSING PLANT AND FISHMEAL REDUCTION PLANT WASTEWATER COLLECTION, TREATMENT AND DISPOSAL

DESCRIPTION: A multi-year project involving flow measurement, wastestream characterization including unloading operations, pilot scale treatability tests using chemically assisted dissolved air floatation unit as well as induced air floatation unit, in-house waste reduction measures, upgrading of collection system, evaluation of treatment options, and extension of marine outfall at the largest fish processing plant in British Columbia. Also included, annual monitoring of the receiving water and preparation of a spill response manual.
ROLE: Prime consultant, cost estimating, detail design.
