| DESCRIPTION: A 33,000 m3/d five cell activated sludge treatment plant serving a TMP and paper mill with a BOD load of 18 t/d. The treatment system incorporates a spill basin, nutrient addition, single stage centrifugal blowers, coarse bubble aeration, sludge thickening and dewatering by two belt filter presses and DCS control. The treated effluent is discharged into the St. Lawrence River. |
