PROJECT: BULK COMMODITIES LOADING TERMINAL COMPREHENSIVE ENVIRONMENTAL AUDIT, UPGRADING PROGRAM AND IMPLEMENTATION

LOCATION: North Vancouver, B.C.

OWNER: Neptune Bulk Terminals (Canada) Ltd.

DESCRIPTION: A multi-year comprehensive environmental program involving bench-scale treatability testing to optimize coagulation, flocculation, and settling of particles in equipment wash water and surface run-off from coal piles. Modifications to improve an existing settling basin. Assessment and modification of solids removal from washdown of urea, potash, and fertilizer pellets handling systems and stormwater run-off. Supervision of underground storage tank removal. Completion of an environmental site assessment. Preparation of an environmental management plan, environmental policies and procedures manual, and environmental audit.
