PROJECT: FISH PROCESSING PLANT WATER AND WASTEWATER AUDIT
 LOCATION: Vancouver, B.C.
OWNER: Canadian Fishing Company
DESCRIPTION: An audit program including wastewater sampling and flow measurement was implemented to determine the contribution of major processes to effluent loading and water consumption. The facility handles up to 500 t/day of fish and uses up to 6,000 m3/day of water. Recommendations were made to reduce water consumption and wastewater contaminant loadings for each type of fish processing carried out at the plant. NovaTec staff also made a presentation to plant staff to make them aware of operating changes required to achieve these goals
ROLE: Prime Consultant
