 PROJECT: EVALUATION, MODIFACTION AND OPTIMIZATION OF A CONTAMINATED GROUNDWATER TREATMENT PLANT

 DESCRIPTION: NovaTec was retained to assess the performance of a recently installed 400 m3/d contaminated groundwater treatment plant, evaluate upgrading options and recommended modifications. The treatment plant consists of an aeration tank, sand filter, bag filters, clay filters and activated carbon filters. The contaminants of concern are iron and PAH. The study recommended a number of modifications to reduce costs and simplify operation.
