| DESCRIPTION: Post start-up
assistance, trouble shooting, upgrading and operator supervision
of a 435 m3/d contaminated groundwater treatment plant designed
and built by others. The process consists of pH adjustment, chemical
oxidation of organics, precipitation of metals, coagulation and
flocculation, settling, and sludge dewatering with a filter press.
The implementation of NovaTec's recommendations resulted in the
operation of the plant within the requirements stipulated by
regulatory agencies. The plant was built to treat groundwater
containing phenols, chlorinated phenols, PAHs, BTEX, and metals
in excess of applicable criteria. |
